A novelist starts with a mere seed of an idea and works on his story, doing research and developing characters and settings, until his book is completed. Authors or critically acclaimed novels join the roundtable discussion about their creative processes of writing. Kent Haruf (Plainsong, Eventide), and Tim Gautreaux (The Clearing), and Tom Franklin (Hell at the Breech) share some fascinating stories.
